About Me
My name is Patricia Paige and I am a Life Coach based in Edinburgh.
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about myself and my approach to life coaching. This is because I believe that you need to feel you have the right coach for you, someone with whom you are comfortable working.
In January 2007 I trained as a Life Coach, achieving the Certificate in Personal Coaching Practice meeting the core competencies and code of ethics as defined by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Building on the skills acquired in twenty years' experience as a qualified Careers Adviser (Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance, 1986) I now also coach clients in a range of life areas incorporating this new approach.
Through my experience working with clients facing transition I have come to the view that decision making always takes place in the context of an individual's life and circumstances and that a more holistic approach is necessary to help clients through the issues and changes they face. Life coaching allows me to take these other factors into consideration and to work with clients to address issues that may be holding them back from achieving their dreams. This is an approach that feels right to me and allows me to be true to myself in terms of helping others and using my particular strengths.
As a Life Coach I now work with individuals seeking change in various areas of their life including health and well-being, career and work life, and lifestyle change.
Recently a coach described me as sensitive, empathic, honest and intelligent. These qualities are at the core of who I am and I aim to use them with those I coach. As for my own experience of being coached? It enabled me to focus on my goals despite the distractions and kept me motivated at times when it would have been easier to give up. It's great to look back with a sense of achievement and acknowledge what you have achieved!
